Description:
To understand the process of formation of functional / folded protein from the nascent polypeptide chains or the denatured / unfolded proteins. To elucidate the mechanistic route for the generation of native state of a multi-domain protein. To characterise intermediate species generate during the process of protein folding or unfolding. The important observations are the following: i)Unfolding condition is crucial in determining final refolding yield of Malate Synthase G. ii)Equilibrium unfolding of MSG is not a two state phenomenon. iii) Folding of GdnHCl denatured MSG to native state proceeds through formation of functional intermediate.
