The latest Placement season for the Class of 2007 would surely catch every interested eyeball, and would disappoint no soul, for it stands a true testimony to what MBAs at IIT can do. There is literally no vertical of Management left for which an MBA of DMS has not been recruited. Placements 2007 have reinforced DMSs position among the higher echelons of management education. With companies competing for the best brains from this centre of excellence, the entire batch was placed within six hours of commencement of the placement process. Even before the placement process began an impressive 8 pre-placement offers were made.

The average salary for the year was a whopping Rs.8.9 Lakh p.a., whereas the median salary stood at Rs. 8.45 Lakh p.a., and the highest domestic salary offered was Rs. 13.5 Lakh p.a. A total of 42 companies visited the campus scouting for talent and in the process made a staggering 1.92 offers per student, including an overseas assignment with a compensation of USD 70,000.

The profiles offered this year saw a remarkable departure from the previous years, and companies offered a wide range spanning Finance, Consulting, Marketing and IT. With some of the most respected names in the Banking and Financial Services Industry such as GE Corporate Finance, HSBC, Kotak Mahindra, Citibank, SBI Caps, SEBI, and ICICI to name a few, handpicking talented managers, DMS has surely come of age as a premier Business School.
